This page describes the data we collect when you visit, what we do with it, and when it may leave our hands. Reading or using any part of this website means you accept the practices set out here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

Anything you type into a search box on this site, such as a name or a birth year, passes straight through to the outside provider that runs that tool. The provider processes the input and returns the results. Nothing you enter is stored or logged on our side.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If you email us, we keep the message so we can write back. It stays with our team. We will not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation forces it.

Data We Gather Automatically

Each time a page on this site loads, our servers record a few technical details about the visit:

  • The IP address your device is using
  • Your device type and operating system
  • Which browser you use, and its version
  • The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
  • Timestamps for every page view
  • The site that referred you here, if there was one

Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies, which are small files your device stores so we can see how visitors move around. They show us which pages draw the most traffic and where readers tend to leave. Analytics services help us pull that traffic data together. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you do, some parts of the site may not behave the same way.

What We Do With This Data

  • Keeping the site online and loading quickly
  • Routing your search requests to the correct partner service
  • Learning which pages readers find useful and which need work
  • Finding and fixing technical faults
  • Showing advertising that may relate to your interests

No Warrant Data on File

This site does not host, keep, build, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant-record information. We publish general guidance about where Delta County records are held and how to reach the offices that check them, including the 94th District Court, the 47th Circuit Court, and the Delta County Sheriff's Office. Requests for records held by a Michigan court or county agency go through the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, Public Act 442 of 1976, because those agencies are the ones that hold them. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or files about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. Whatever you enter into one of those tools is handled under that partner's privacy policy, not this one. Those partners decide for themselves how long they keep data and who they share it with, and we have no control over that. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.

Links to Other Websites

We link out to sheriff's office pages, Michigan court portals, legal aid groups, and outside search services. Following any of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then governs what happens to your information. Read it before you share personal details.

Some advertising partners may follow your activity across sites in order to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems rather than ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. A limited amount of information may reach:

  • Analytics services that track traffic and performance for us
  • Search partners that handle the queries you run here
  • Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
  • Government bodies or law enforcement when a valid legal order requires disclosure

How We Protect Your Data

We use standard security practices to protect the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is airtight, however. We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Your Data Rights

Depending on where you live, state privacy and consumer-protection law may give you extra rights over the information we hold. At a minimum, you can:

  • Ask us to erase the data we hold about you
  • Request a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
  • Have us correct information that is wrong

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this privacy policy later. When that happens, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Check back if you want to follow how we handle visitor information.
